This explains what we do with your information. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, and we handle it under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What We Collect
When you call or submit a form: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, and what you have told us about the roof. Nothing else is required.
Our website also collects standard technical information such as pages visited and approximate location, used to understand how the site is used.
Why We Collect It
To pass your enquiry to a roofing firm covering your area so they can quote you. That is the purpose of the service and the only reason we ask.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted us asking to be connected to a roofer, and passing your details on is what delivers that.
Who We Share It With
A roofing firm covering your area. They receive your name, contact details, postcode and the job description so they can quote. Once they have it, they are a separate data controller and their own privacy policy applies.
Our form provider. Form submissions are processed and delivered by email through our website host's mail service.
Our call tracking provider. We use a call tracking service to record which pages and campaigns generate calls. This means the phone number shown on the site may vary between visits, and call metadata such as time, duration and the number you called from is recorded. Calls may be recorded for quality purposes; if so you will be told at the start of the call.
We do not sell your data to anyone.
How Long We Keep It
Enquiry records for 24 months, so we can deal with complaints and disputes. Call tracking data according to the provider's retention period. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. Email info@roofersstokeontrent.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
We use only what the site needs to function. We do not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels or third-party trackers.
